USA comes out on top against Canada for first place in WJC pool

Today at 3:30, the Americans face the host Canadians for their final round robin game of the 2017 World Junior Championship.

The stakes couldn't be any more obvious. Win, and you're first in the pool. Lose, and you're... well second. 

Joseph Woll will play against Connor Ingram in net.


The Americans pulled through with a 3-1 victory today, popping in two powerplay goals in the game's first six minutes.

Red Wings pick up controversial Alumni game win

Kris Draper was the hero with a last-minute goal to give the Wings a 4-3 win in the Centennial Classic alumni game. Filled with heroes young and old from the two sides of the rivalry, the Red Wings came out on top at Toronto's BMO field.

USA topple Russians 3-2 at WJC

Hot off their victory against the Slovakians last night, the Americans came back into action against the Russians. Without making this game about political statements and sticking it to hockey, it should make for an interesting result.

The Americans look to key in on Russian Kirill Kaprizov, who's managed 4 goals and 7 points throughout the tournament so far.

Jimmy Howard diagnosed with knee sprain, out 4-6 weeks

Only confirming what was previously known, today it was announced that Jimmy Howard's injury suffered in Tuesday night's loss was an MCL sprain, putting him out 4-6 weeks.

Though he was placed on the 7-day IR, it was always likely that Jimmy Howard would be out for a significant period of time.
